AGES 5 AND 6 – Children’s Group Ski & Snowboard Lessons
Our Grizzlies program is designed for little rippers that are on skis or a snowboard for the first time as well as for those who have been shredding it up their entire short lives. It’s all about fun and safety on the slopes for this energetic group. Grizzlies pros are specially trained, love working with kids and make learning fun. Know the code! Our pros incorporate the Skier Responsibility Code in every lesson. Special events include the Winter Wild Things Native Animal Exploration and race days! PURCHASE NOW!
- Grizzlies ski & snowboard lessons are available at Snowmass & Buttermilk for all abilities - Grizzlies at Highlands are for intermediate to expert full day SKI lessons only! - Our goal is for your child to have a wonderful experience! If your child has a difficult time adjusting, you will be contacted so together we can decide what is best for your child.
Times: Full day 9:30am – 3:00pm Morning Half day* 9:30am – 12:30pm Plan to arrive at your lesson meeting area at least 15 minutes before lesson start time and on your first day, please plan for time to fill out required paperwork.
*Half day is only available to skiers at Snowmass & Buttermilk; snowboarders must participate in the full day lesson. No half day lessons are available at Aspen Highlands.
Includes: Lesson, Lift Ticket and Lunch.
Rentals: Equipment rentals are not included in kids lessons. Allow at least an extra hour if you are renting equipment, or if your schedule allows, pickup your rentals the evening before your first day on the slopes. We suggest renting from Four Mountain Sports located at nine locations throughout the bases of our four mountains and include the Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Center at Snowmass as well as the Panda house at Buttermilk.
Helmets: Helmets are REQUIRED for children ages 17 and under participating in Ski & Snowboard Schools programs. While helmets may reduce the severity of a head injury, the best way to avoid accidents is to know and abide by the skier/rider responsibility code.

*Free transportation for kids to Buttermilk from Aspen after their first day of class is available on Max the Moose Express! Max the Moose leaves from the gondola building in Aspen at 8:45am and returns before 4pm. Children riding Max the Moose Express must be at least 5 years old.
What to bring: Please label all items. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. - Waterproof coat, snow pants, boots, hat, and mittens, goggles or sunglasses - Sunscreen and lip protection.
Health: Your child’s health is important to us. Please notify us of any health problems or medication requirements. We reserve the right to refuse any child due to illness to ensure the health of the other children.
Medication: If medication is to be administered, parents must sign a medical release instructing us how and when the medication is got be given to the child. All medication must be in the original container with the written instructions from the physician clearly marked. We are not allowed to dispense over the counter medicine without a written physician order.
